But if I knew 8k rpms would now be safe it would solve all the gear ratio issues on the road courses. To be able to ignore 5th gear would be awesome, it's scary trying to find 5th at 120 exiting the esses at watkins glen with one hand on the wheel. Last fall i lost the power steering belt in a high speed corner. I believe it was due to crank harmonics from shifting at 7500 too often, very scary!
